He said that when children eat too much television, children seen sitting pretty, but in reality they are mentally wander anywhere.
According to him, the television only gives the portion at 0.07 percent for the field of education so parents should be able to be proactive to take over the role as an educator in the home.
Psychologically, the child will always idolize their parents so that parents are required to have quality time to accompany their children so that children do not divert attention to electronic media, he said.
Meanwhile, Tupardi, a teacher who attended the seminar said, the influence of electronic media to make their students not concentrating in class learning.
In response, Seto stated the teachers and parents should have effective communication resulting in harmony between formal education and education at home.
He added that one of possible solutions is to provide creative learning in schools, not just a lesson that is the command of one direction from the teacher.
Some top schools are successful because many parents also took to work together realizing creative education, he said.
He also asserted, as an educator, a teacher must be able to understand the psychology of children, that children are not miniature adults, their world is a world of play, still developing physically and psychologically, imitative and creative. Children also a unique personality, their intelligence is also unique, so can not be equated, he said.
He said that teachers’ ability to understand anaktidak can be obtained by a brief, but through a process of continuous practice.
